Conzerv approached Bang* to design their up and coming Digital Energy Meter range. What they were looking for was a partner who would understand the subtle nature of the workflow and marry the visual design whilst keeping Conzerv's heritage in mind. Conzerv in addition wanted the design to be modular which would enable inline changeover between different product versions.
At Bang* we realized that the best way to proceed would be to deploy a participatory design approach right from the word go. We would prepare a few concepts which would then get thrashed across the board in hands on meetings with the Conzerv management, make quick and dirty changes, then and there itself. The "new" concepts wold then be refined and sent over helping us realizeinnovative solutions in the shortest possible time frame.
